Purpose of Establishment

We will become a pride of Gwangju as a global advanced transportation mean which leads culture, art and green growth.
Gwangju Transportation Corporation was established under Article 40 of Local Public Enterprise Act and Article 47 of Enforcement Decree of the same Act and Article 1 of Gwangju Transportation Corporation Ordinance in order to contribute to promote welfare of Gwangju citizens by providing development of urban transport and a safe and prompt public transportation means.
Therefore, Corporation uses an effort for public services for development of Gwangju including but not limited to operation of Gwangju Metro, development of station area, real estate leasing project, construction and operation of life convenience and welfare facilities.
Corporation shall try its best in order to create a new public transportation culture harmonized with culture, art and green environment using citizen’s love and confidence as a foundation in future.
